Introduction to Together Across America
7:00 pm (Central Time)
Hosts: Together Across America
Purpose: If you've been watching the news lately — the No Kings protests, the mail-in voting executive order, the war in Iran, the treason charges being debated in legal circles — you may be feeling what a lot of people are feeling right now: the urgency to do something, combined with the exhaustion of not knowing where to start.
Tonight is a place to start. On May 25, 2026, Together Across America, in conjunction with BlackOut the System, is helping bring the spirit of the 1986 Hands Across America back — and this time, the stakes are even higher.
Learn more about Together Across America — what it is, who is behind it, and how you can plug in.

NATIONAL F*CK ICE PROTEST
12:00 noon
Greene County Jail
1199 N Haseltine Road, Springfield
Hosts: 50501 Missouri, SMIA, ReSisters
Purpose: People across the country will step outside, find the nearest place where ICE is unjustly caging human beings, and make their presence - and their contempt - impossible to ignore.
This is not a single march in a single city. This is a simultaneous national action, coast to coast, at concentration camps, detention facilities, processing centers, and county jails where the machinery of this administration's cruelty operates every single day behind walls and fences and the calculated indifference of people who have decided that some human beings don't count.
But they do count. We're counting them. And we're showing up.
Join Southern Missouri Immigration Alliance (SMIA), 50501 Missouri, and The ReSisters at the Greene County Jail on Saturday, April 11th, at 12pm to demand change and accountability.
Register Here: MobilizeUs
Notes: SMIA will be accepting phone charger donations at the event. Phone chargers will be added to the care packages SMIA provides to people who are released from Greene County Jail.

No Work Mass Statewide Training Call - MISSOURI
Friday - 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Hosts: Missouri Workers Center
Purpose: May Day is coming, and Missouri workers are joining the nationwide day of action on 5/1/26 to demand an economy, democracy, and America that work for ALL of us! Sign up for our No Work statewide training call on Monday, April 13 and spread the word: bit.ly/noMOwork
We deserve living wages, dignity and respect, and union rights that give us a say-so in the decisions that affect our lives! But the billionaires and racists try to divide and demoralize us so we don’t get organized. We are worth more, and we are joining workers across the country to fight back. It’s time to withhold our labor, our spending, and our participation to win the Missouri we deserve
On our call you will:
See the ways YOU can take part on May 1
Hear from workers who’ve gone on strike
Learn your legal rights for whatever action you choose to take
No union membership or prior experience required — register now to get the Zoom link!

Sunday, April TBD
Pramila Jayapal's APRIL Resistance Lab
1:00 pm - 3:00 pm Central Time
Hosts: Pramilaforcongress
Purpose: The Resistance Lab is a series of trainings that are developed specifically for this moment. In this first lab, we look at how non-violent movements around the world have responded to leaders who seize power in authoritarian ways and the most effective tools and tactics to utilize in these moments. We offer frameworks to understand this moment at home, and incorporate interactive conversation with others to help create community and build our resistance movement.
The Resistance Lab was developed with experts who have researched and studied democratic backsliding around the world as well as in the United States and the non-violent movements that have emerged to challenge those authoritarian leaders. We also draw from many toolkits for effective tactics and frameworks as well as from Pramila’s own background leading successful organizing movements for economic and social justice for two decades.
Our goals are to help people understand how democracies fall and the most effective resistance movements that have challenged authoritarians and dictators; to turn anger, fear and frustration into action in the short-term while also preparing for a coordinated resistance movement for the longer term; and to build community across the country that can help grow our movement. At the end of the day, we want to get people strike-ready and street-ready and make sure we protect our people, our freedoms and our democracy.
With Trump and his MAGA billionaires doubling down on their attacks on the economic livelihoods of people to thrive and on our democracy, we can’t afford to sit this moment out. This is about building real power together. And it starts with you.
RSVP TODAY and secure your spot! You’ll receive the ZOOM link closer to the event date. And don’t forget to share this with your network!

Notes: Most virtual events, if you register but miss it, they will send you an email with the recording so you can watch it at your convenience. So anytime you see something you are interested in please don’t hesitate to sign up.

MAY DAY NATIONWIDE GENERAL STRIKE
“From Sunrise to Sundown: WORKERS RUN THIS TOWN”
Time: 6:30 am
Jordan Valley Park
635 E. Trafficway Street, Springfield
Hosts: Jobs With Justice & 50501
Purpose: We are the many. They are the few. And we will not be silent. Mark your calendars for NO WORK. NO SCHOOL. NO SHOPPING. MAY 1ST 2026.
This regime is terrorizing our cities and dropping bombs on Venezuela. We stand united against the occupation of other countries and our cities on behalf of a handful of billionaires. The Trump regime is seizing control of the mineral and energy wealth of Venezuela and handing it over to Big Oil.
DHS Secretary Kristi Noem’s ICE militia is attacking our communities while enriching private prison corporations and the Silicon Valley companies that sell Trump surveillance tech.
None of what this regime is doing is about making our lives better. It’s about billionaires making themselves richer no matter the human cost.
