First Every Sunday Protest

Today we hosted our first POWER TO THE PEOPLE Weekly Protest!! We had 34 participants but the most important thing is that we had FIVE new people that came out to put their “boots on the ground” for the first time. One even just was driving by, pulled in, asked some questions, parked, grabbed a sign and joined in till the end!!

The purpose is two fold - one to provide a consistent presence the same, day, time and place - allowing community members to work around that schedule to be able to join in. The second purpose is to gain numbers… we are in need of more people joining this fight both here in Springfield but nationwide. We have only a few weeks till the next mass mobilization - the goal is 14m people in one day… can we don it??
