Last day of April

It’s been a very busy month! Our community has shown up and shown out!! April 5th we had over 700 people in the rain and cold. April 19th we had three events totaling over 675 people, again in the rain! We have protests at Eric Burlison’s office, the VA and social security! We had a very productive Leaders & Community Meeting with the amazing Jess Piper as our special guest.

And as for me… I was reminded of a couple of things… listen to my gut, don’t be afraid to open a can of worms, speak loudly and from my heart! This month has been a whirlwind of organizing, talking to hundreds of new people and organizing. But every missed moment of sleep has been worth it.

May is only going to speed up, not slow down. Although this is a marathon, not a sprint, we need to be diligent in showing up and gaining momentum. The next nationwide event is coming and we are going to be ready!!
