WANTED - COMMUNITY INPUT
HOW MANY PEOPLE DO YOU THINK WE COULD GET TO PARTICIPATE? “Hands Off” on April 5th we had 1000 on the Campbell Pedestrian Bridge. On June 21th for the first NO KINGS event, city wide we had around 3000 community members join us. Our community then came together for NO KINGS 2 at the corner of Sunshine & National and over 4000 joined us that day. If we got everyone to “bring a friend” imagine what we could do with 8-10,000 people. But why stop there, with the murders that happened in Minnesota and the plan to occupy Springfield Ohio coming up… could we get more to join together as one?
WHERE DO YOU THINK WE SHOULD HAVE THE EVENT? This is very difficult in our city of Springfield because two major things are the most important - VISIBILITY & PARKING. Public parking is downtown near the square however there is no visibility there. What do you think?
SIGNS & MESSAGING? We may get some specific messaging from the large organizers but in the mean time, what are your favorite ideas for signs?
